Anyway, a small party at Schlitterbahn is planned for Saturday. Here is the invitation:
Other than white cardstock and Color Box Creamy Brown Chalk Ink and my HP Photoprinter, all I needed were some cool fonts. And Score! I found one of my favorite rub-on alphas in a font: Go Boom is a dead ringer for Karen Foster Designs' calendar alphas, which are no longer available. The blocked font is Starguides. Some other free fonts I downloaded on my recent trip to dafont:

Sometimes all it takes is a quick "shopping trip" to the font shop to curb the desire to spend money. Consider it a scrapbooker's alternative spending plan!

Hey there... love your creativity. I scrap, but not enough, and I'd probably be considered an amateur.
The cards you made for your son's birthday are adorable.
Did you scrap them all, or did you make one and color copy? Also, with the font use, do you print those out on whatever paper appeals to you?

The cards - both the invitation and the thank you cards - are individual originals. They are like mini-layouts, only easier to make! Once I get the design done, it's just a matter of replicating.
I've found it helpful to have a ream of white cardstock on hand. You can find acid-free, "scrapbooking safe" packs at office supply stores. HP usually offers one. That way I have "guts" for cards and more affordable white cardstock to print on and work with.
As a note, most (if not all) of my cards are made from 8.5x11 cardstock or 12x12 cut down to letter size. That way the finished card fits in a standard invitation envelope, also widely found at office supply stores.
If I don't use white cardstock, I have plenty of Bazzill on hand!
